Meet the 8 Tech Startups Selected to Pitch at Seedstars Hong Kong
On August 31st, 8 of Hong Kong’s best seed stage startups will compete to represent the country at the Global Seedstars Summit and win up to USD 1 million in equity investments.
Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes has brought its pre-selection rounds to an end and selected 8 promising tech startups to pitch at the Seedstars Hong Kong pitching event on August 31st at 6pm in the SME Center at HKTDC.
Hong Kong was previously represented by uHoo, a smart indoor air toxin sensor. uHoo was selected, out of 65 other startups, as a finalist for the Hublot ‘Most Innovative Startup’ award at the Seedstars Global Summit this April.
The top startups selected to advance to the pitching event are:
- BeltRoad: an online marketplace for procurement needs related to the Belt and Road Initiative with funding technology for local SME suppliers.

ibebot: an IoT company launching intelligent environmental well-being products.

LOKOL: connects every brand with high quality micro influencers through non-monetary incentives.

Mindfio: brings mindfulness into companies by through biofeedback and data-driven personalization of training.

Rocketbots: allows enterprises to improve their internal communications (e.g front line employees) with a AI-powered platform and chatbot solution.

Valoot: provides ultra competitive FX rates straight from the FX market, so before you hand over your card in physical stores, you select your preferred currency.

Zhenhub: enables modern retailers to execute global logistics operations from anywhere in the world with a single click.
The startups will pitch in front of a jury that consists of John Koh from Koh Vass & Co in Association with Osborne Clarke, Janos Barberis from SuperCharger, Derek Kwik from Brave Soldier Venture Capital, Desmond Marshall from Rouge Ventures, and Adriana Collini from Seedstars.
