MEET THE BEST STARTUPS FROM MANILA THAT WILL COMPETE TO BE CROWNED THE PHILIPPINES’ BEST STARTUP DURING SEEDSTARS MANILA

Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes has brought its pre-selection rounds to an end. We are looking forward to an exciting pitching competition at Acceler8 (Paseo 111) at 5:30pm this Saturday July 8th.

 

The Philippines was previously represented by Acudeen, offering a solution to SME’s financial challenges. Acudeen was awarded Seedstars Global Winner and hence an equity investment of USD 500,000. “Winning at Seedstars Manila last year propelled my business. The visibility and connections I got from it were incredibly valuable.” says Magellan Fetalino, founder and CEO.

 

The top startups to advance to the grand final are:

 

• Cropital: A crowdsourcing platform for farmers.

• BeamAndGo: A tool that lets expats dedicate their remittances to specific products and services.

• Fetch: An on-demand valet parking service so the everyday urban motorist will never stress about parking again.

• ServeHappy Jobs: A job platform for service businesses by leveraging on social media and messaging technologies where 51M Filipinos are.

• HarayaLabs: STEM education provider to K-12 students with interactive platforms in Virtual Reality.

• Stash: A healthcare web and mobile platform for Hospitals and Health Maintenance Organizations to improve health claims management.

• Retailgate: Market research in real time using AI so that business can understand their consumers on the ground in order to serve them more effectively and efficiently.

• Senti: A culture aware social media analytics tool that is able scrutinize how people actually talk in real life and hence let you know how they feel about your product.
