Meet the Most Promising Startups from Bangladesh that will Compete to be Crowned Bangladesh’s Most Promising Tech Startup During Seedstars Dhaka

Friday, September 22, 2017 — On September 23rd, 8 of Bangladesh’s most promising seed stage startups will compete to represent the country at the Regional and Global Seedstars Summits, and to win up to USD 1 million in equity investments.

 

Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes has brought its pre-selection rounds to an end and selected 8 promising tech startups to pitch at the LankaBangla Finance presents Seedstars Dhaka powered by Grameenphone Accelerator pitching event on September 23rd at 1pm at GP House.

Bangladesh was previously represented by Field Buzz that increases the transparency and efficiency of field operations with its solutions.

The top startups selected to advance to the pitching event are:

 

  • Arektu: E-commerce software as a service for the 10,000+ brands that sell through Facebook in Bangladesh.

  • CMED Health Limited: IoT enabled cloud based preventive healthcare platform that monitors health parameters, predict health risks and reduce health cost.

  • Microtech Interactive: Our product makes learning for children fun and interactive using augmented reality technology.

  • Barikoi: We help logistics and e-commerce companies to be efficient.

  • Head Blocks: The leaders fail mostly for their wrong investment on people. So we help you to search the right people to excel your organization.

  • Cookups Technologies: Cookups is airbnb for home-cooked meals. A platform for buying and selling wholesome homemade food.

  • Jolpie Technologies: Jolpie, the health-tech company is a complete healthcare platform that focuses on appointments, consultations, medicine and health records.

  • REPTO: Education Center is an online course marketplace that aims democratize the education system of Bangladesh.

The startups will pitch in front of a jury that consists of Khurshed Alam from LankaBangla Finance, Kazi Hassan from Grameenphone, Prince Mojumder from Genex Infosys Limited, Mustafizur Rahman from CVCFL, Ahad Mohammad Bhai of Razor Capital, Tina Jabeen of Startup Bangladesh - IDEA, Samad Miraly from Startup Dhaka, Tareq Al Muntasir from Socian, and Adriana Collini from Seedstars.

In order to deliver the best possible event and to provide local entrepreneurs with this opportunity, Seedstars is working closely with their co-organizing partner Tanvir Sourov and his team at Socian.
