NEUROSTIC NAMED PAKISTAN’S BEST STARTUP AT SEEDSTARS LAHORE
On October 14th during Seedstars Lahore, Neurostic won the Pakistan round of Seedstars World and will represent the country at the Seedstars Summit in Switzerland to compete for up to USD 1 million in equity investment. The event was sponsored by vittarro.
Seedstars World, the global seed-stage startup competition for emerging markets and fast-growing startup scenes brought its Pakistan round to a successful close during Seedstars Lahore. The event took place this Saturday at PlanX, and thirteen selected startups were invited to present their ideas in front of the local jury panel.
The local winner, Neurostic is a medical device company with products ranging from clinical decision support systems to prosthetics. They aim to empower amputees by cutting costs of prosthesis by local development and manufacturing.
Neurostic will be invited to the Seedstars Asia Regional Summit in Bangkok in November, and will receive an all expenses paid trip to the Seedstars Global Summit, taking place in Switzerland in April 2018. The Global Summit is a weeklong training program with the opportunity to meet the other 75 local winners, as well as investors and mentors from around the world. Traditionally, the final day of the Summit will be dedicated to pitching in front of audience of 1000 attendees, with the possibility of winning up to the USD 1 million equity investments.
DreamX, which is on a mission to solve customer service needs of businesses operating in multiple industries. It is a Chatbot platform which learns from processes tailored to industry specific templates. It can be enabled to run on multiple channels simultaneously, and can be managed by any non-technical personnel. was named the runner up. RQL, REST Query Language is a feature-rich alternative to firebase/firestore and is backed by an Intelligent platform for auto-generating adaptive REST services against RQL queries that are used for capturing the user requirements in an imperative way, made the third place. The other startups who, out of the JumpStart’s Shepherd’s Pie competition, were invited to pitch were Fenam, WashEz, Anzen, B4 Booking, Mohsin Electronics, Eye Automate, Ultimo Tech, Smart Helmet, TezKamayi and Automate.
The 13 startups pitched in front of a prestigious jury consisting of Sadia Khuram, General Manager at Careem, Muazzam Arslan Bhatti, CEO of Alfoze Technologies, Khurram Zafar, Director at 47 Ventures and Executive Director at LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship, Muhammad Farrukh Mahmood, CEO of 11 values, and Rosie Kelleri from Seedstars.
